INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON MAWLID AL-NABI

"PROPHET MUHAMMAD AND CHILD"

(06-08 November, 2020)

A child is the prettiest blessing which is bestowed by Allah (s.w.t.) to a family. A child is the abundance of a home, the joy of life, and the hope of a family. It is the desire of mother and father to leave a person behind them, to make sure that their surname is not forgotten after them, and to have posterity. It is ‘the light of eye’ with the expression in the Holy Qur’an, the most sensitive trust, and a means of test with its existence and absence.

Every child is a value for the society as much as it is for a family. Every child should be protected and brought up carefully by minding its rights, needs, talents, and potentials as the building block which is going to build the future of the society. The effort exerted for bringing up a child is actually an investment which is made for the future of the society.

Unfortunately, many children are deprived of their the most fundamental rights such as accommodation, food, health, and education in today’s world and they are crushed under physical and emotional burdens which are too much for their little shoulders to carry. The children who are the future of humanity are being lost in the dark of oppression and savagery and war and violence. Their young minds are poisoned by terrorist organizations and they are given guns instead of pencils. On the other hand, the children who cannot find the attention, education, and support which are deserved by them may adopt bad habits and may be exposed to the addictions which entertain them but also poison them and keep them busy with fake victories.

It is our duty to look after children who are the trust the Almighty Allah and to come up with solutions in order to protect and prepare them to future in the healthiest way. Within this context, we need the academic studies, which are going to guide today’s families, institutions, and organizations through strong references fostered by the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, and the constants. The programs in which the past, present, and future of being a child are discussed and all aspects of a child is debated by concerning the example of Prophet Muhammad are important for our country and the Islamic world. For this reason, the Presidency of Religious Affairs determined the theme of the year 2020 for Mawlid al-Nabi Week as “Prophet Muhammad and Child” and the Presidency is going to organize the International Mawlid al-Nabi Symposium between the dates of November 06-08, 2020
